That’s right, we want you to design the best Headgear (this includes hats, hair accessories, headbands,caps..let that imagination run wild) AND/OR Handhelds, that you can come up with! Because we know how much you all enjoyed our last few innovative contests (the Collectible, Park Decor, Plushie and Poster Design contests), we couldn’t wait to host a whole new contest for you to showcase your creativity and talent!
The Headgear and Handheld Design Contest is going to work just like the Design an Outfit Contest worked . We have one thread up to submit contest entries and another thread to discuss the contest. Let’s walk you guys through on how to submit an entry:
Step 1
We want to see what your Headgear or Handheld will look like on a Yoville avatar so the first thing you will need to do is find an avatar to create the design for. This can be your own avatar or another avatar found on Yoville.com.Then take a screenshot of that avatar by holding down Ctrl, Alt and PrtSc.
Step 2
Then go to Paint or Photoshop or any type of image editing program you have installed on your computer and Paste your Screen shot. From here please use the tools provided to edit your image. You may have to crop to remove any unnecessary parts of your screen shot so you only have the avatar to work with. Have fun with it!! Don’t be afraid to use color or get creative! Make sure to save along the way!!
Step 3
Next you are going to have to upload your image to an Image hosting site like Tinypic or Photobucket. If you do not already have an account you will need to create one. Once that you have uploaded your picture to your account your image will be given links and codes for the image. Make sure to Copy the IMG Code provided for your image.
Step 4
Paste your IMG code into the Headgear and Handheld Design Contest thread (ONLY for submissions). Any discussions about the contest belongs HERE . Keeping these two threads separate will help us be able to sort through entries when choosing the top 10-20 entries. Make sure that your entry does not break the rules below otherwise your entry will be deleted.
RULES & GUIDELINES.
- Headgear and Handheld Entries will be accepted from September 14th @ 3 AM (PST) until September 16th @11:59 PM (PST). After all of the entries are gathered, our team will be announcing our top choices and will ask you all to vote for your favorites!
- Players may submit only ONE Headgear and /or Handheld entry each. Entering more than one of each will result in disqualification.
- Players who choose to design both a handheld and headgear entry must do so in a single entry post. Only ONE entry post per player. Please do not post more than once. Otherwise you will be disqualified! Spamming your entry will not be allowed.
- NO Copying of other player’s entries or original artwork. This will not be tolerated. All designs must be created by you! Breaking this rule will receive an immediate disqualification as well.
- No insulting or making negative comments about other contest entries, this will not be allowed and may result in the disqualification of your entry.
