Old YoVille players know that the game was not created by Zynga. A company called Tall tree games founded by Greg Thomson developed YoVille in 2008 and later sold it to Zynga.Now, after Zynga has decided to shutdown YoVille, the original YoVille owner is offering to buy it back. - Greg is a pioneer of social app development and has been actively developing for the Facebook platforms since 2007.
- He lead the development and release of more than 20 Facebook applications that have reached a combined total of over 100 million users.
- He launched Tall Tree Games which became one of the first companies to offer virtual currency and reward systems on Facebook.
- Greg invented the first Fish Tank genre of social/mobile games. FishWorld has been played by over 40 million users around the world and continues to have a strong following many years later.
- In 2011, Tall Tree Games became Big Viking Games.
